Meet Michelle Lentz

Michelle_lowres_4Michelle Lentz, Owner & Blogger: Michelle graduated from Wright State University with a degree in English and an emphasis in Technical Writing and Computer Science. She entered the industry as a technical editor for aerospace documentation. She honed her editing skills and moved into more diverse areas of industry, consulting within training and documentation for  consumer products, pharmaceuticals, software, SAP, science, and manufacturing.

Michelle has also spent a fair amount of time studying the e-learning and Web 2.0. Her experience led to Michelle presenting at several conferences, including Elliot Masie's Learning  2007 (Blog Yes!: Using Your Blog for Internal Marketing) and several sessions on Open-Source and Wikis at ASTD's TechKnowledge 2008. Michelle presented a mini-session on e-compliance training  at Elliot Masie's Learning 2006, and co-moderated four Instructional  Design Learning Labs at the 2007 ASTD TechKnowledge conference. In April of 2003, Michelle was certified as a PMMI Certified Trainer through the Packaging Machinery Manufacturer's Institute, the standard in packaging documentation and training.

In October 2003, Michelle decided to leave her job as an instructional designer in a manufacturing firm to start Write Technology. She currently serves as Vice President of Technology for the Greater Cincinnati ASTD. In addition, Michelle maintains four weblogs, including a blog on wine as well as her industry-related blog, and is over-connected in social media. Michelle is also a contributing writer for Brian Solis's Bub.blicio.us social economy blog.
