TiVo and Bad Grammar?

The folks at "TiVo DVR" would like us all to stop using their product - as a verb.  Seriously.

Incorrect: I Tivo'd all the Rankin Bass holiday specials.

Correct: I used my TiVo DVR to record all the Rankin Bass holiday specials.

Incorrect:  I love my Tivo!

Correct: I love my TiVo DVR!

All this grammar silliness prevents brand dilution.  For instance, stating that you need to pick up some Kleenex and Coke at the store may actually mean you're buying any brand of tissues and some type of cola. The brand has taken over the product. Tivo wants to prevent that.

So watch those verbs!
